The real data path

Five visible steps. No invisible auto-action.

Kipp uses cloud AI because screenshots carry more than OCR text. The path is explicit, and control returns to you before any native result.

Selection → Secure cloud processing → AI analysis → Review → User-approved native action

Kipp / Flow

How Kipp works

  1. Choose

Select one or more screenshots in PhotosPicker, or share an image to Kipp. The camera roll is never swept in the background.

  2. Kipp secure cloud processing

After consent, Kipp normalises the image and sends it to an authenticated service protected by app-integrity checks. The image exists there only for the request.

  3. AI analysis

The service sends the image to an independent AI provider. The response must match Kipp's schema and deterministic field checks.

  4. Review

Kipp shows confidence, evidence and editable fields. Missing or uncertain details are marked Needs Review.

  5. Approve the native action

Only your confirmation opens or creates the Calendar, Reminder, Maps, link, share, email draft, contact form or local note.

What Kipp keeps—and what it does not

Kipp's backend does not permanently store screenshot content or model output, and neither belongs in logs. In the cloud Kipp keeps content-free anonymous identity, entitlement, quota and request metadata, plus a fixed set of content-free product analytics events. Your library and analysis results live locally on your device.

A failed analysis does not spend a credit

Provider timeouts, invalid model output and terminal processing failures release the reserved analysis credit. Existing local history and actions remain available when a quota is exhausted.
